18 Hours Aerial Yoga Teacher Training Course

ABOUT THE TRAINING
Aerial Yoga is not Yoga nor shares any history of the traditional yoga practice. Rather, it is a suspension exercise that integrates traditional Yoga asana with concepts of aerial arts. This 18 hours Aerial Yoga teacher training serves as an entry point of your aspiring Aerial Yoga teaching journey as we will discuss topics including but not limited to the foundation foundations and history of Aerial Yoga, set up, functional anatomy, teaching methodology, safety management and sequencing techniques. This course is designed for Yoga instructors to expand their teaching repertoire and Aerial Yoga Practitioners to deepen their knowledge.

*Yoga Alliance Accredited certificate will be distributed upon completion to count towards continuing education hours.
Course Dates: April 28, 29, 30 (Fri - Sun)
Schedule: (Total 18 hrs programme)
April 28 (Friday) 6:00pm – 9:00pm
April 29 (Saturday) 8:30am – 5:00pm
April 30 (Sunday) 8:30am – 5:00pm
(7.5 hour with 1 hour lunch 12:30pm - 1:30pm)
1 hour Aerial Yoga Decompression Class
Aerial Yoga background (history, development, philosophy)
1 hour Aerial Yoga Class (Mobility)
Guiding Principles of Aerial Yoga: flexibility, strength, decompression
Class Management: cueing, class planning, spotting and management, safety precautions
Anatomy and biomechanics
Art of Sequencing
1 hour of Therapeutic Aerial Yoga Class
Anatomy and biomechanics
Sequence breakdown, analysis
Teaching assessment (20 mins each)

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Joanne Haye Wu is a well-developed Yoga Teacher and Fitness Trainer known for her comprehensive knowledge, down-to-earth mindset and ability to empower students on a journey above and beyond their initial goals. She believes Yoga is more than a practice. It is also a tool for empowerment, to connect our mind, body and surroundings from within.
After spending 8 years in Toronto, Canada, she moved to Hong Kong where she completed her first professional training with Dr. Yogananth Andiappan. Currently she is advancing her skills with Master Samrat Dasgupta. With over a decade of practice, Joanne is now a certified ERYT500 with RCYT, RPYT and YACEP. Outside of Yoga, she is also a certified NASM Personal Trainer, Polestar trained mat Pilates instructor, and Usui Reiki Master.
